Pemberton
The Village of Pemberton is located on the Sea to Sky Highway #99, about a 20 minute drive north of Whistler (32 km/20 miles) and 120 km southwest of Lillooet. Nestled between majestic mountains, Pemberton is set in a river valley surrounded by coastal mountains. Its natural setting and close proximity to the resort village of Whistler (120 km, 74 miles from Vancouver) makes it a perfect location for year round outdoor adventure.
Amid the rugged splendour of the Coast Mountains north, the Pemberton Valley is a lush green stretch of agricultural land, long know for its potato production. The pastoral setting is a sharp contrast to the surrounding mountain peaks.

recreation. Winter activities include snowmobiling, dog sledding, Nordic
skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, mountaineering, and winter fishing.
Summer offers 5 local designer championship courses - 3 in Whistler, 2
in Pemberton. Mountain biking, ATV, ZipTrek and hummer tours, horseback
rides, fishing, hiking, jet and pleasure boating, rafting, bungee jumping,
climbing, mountaineering, racquet sports, canoeing, kayaking, are some
of the summer time fun. Mt Currie, a First Nations community, is located
just east of the Village of Pemberton.
Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park is located 55 km (34 mi) northeast of Pemberton via an access road from D'Arcy. The park provides visitors with boat launching facilities, hiking trails and good beaches. Moose, deer, black bear, marten and bobcat are resident in the park. Nearby Felix Creek is a bird watchers paradise. The lake provides good fishery for Dolly Varden, kokanee and rainbow trout. Open from May to September.
About 65 km northwest of Pemberton is Meagre Creek Hot Springs. The hot springs are located at the mouth of Meagre Creek in the Meagre Creek Hot Springs Recreation Site. Visitors enjoy the springwater which is crystal clear, free of odour and tasteless.
